I live in Tennessee and my daughter lives in scotts valley, and I wanted to surprise her with a Birthday lunch. Hanna took my order over the phone and was super helpful with my surprise. She did a wonderful job by helping me pick out amazing food. My daughter said the food was great, thank you so much and as soon as I come to scotts valley I will be sure to stop by and try it for my self.
The bakery opened down the street from our home in Scott’s valley; and i absolutely love popping into the bakery in the morning! They have an incredible selection of pastries both savory & sweet. I love their quiche, bread loafs and so many items to choose from. Bonus the staff are super friendly! I truly can say enough great things :)
Two weeks ago my husband and I visited this adorable place while waiting for our pet's medical procedure. The store looked lovely, and the aroma from the freshly baked bread was to die for. The staff greeted us with their warm smiles and were very friendly. We ordered morning bun and croissant, and they tasted as good as their smell. We also stayed for lunch. We tried their quiche and chicken pot pie. Both were very good and the quiche was filling. Unfortunately, while we were there, we received a call notifying us that that our pet had unexpectedly passed away. The sudden loss was overwhelming and we were in tears. As we prepared to leave, the staff quietly placed a wrapped chocolate croissant on our table. We want to thank you for that thoughtful gesture. We truly appreciate your kindness and compassion. It means a lot to us.
Just had an excellent seared salmon dinner salad…so delicious! Chef Lucas does an excellent job with all the dinners…we’ve had a-filet of sole dinner and a halibut dinner and they have been delicious. The duck crepe was excellent. These are dinners you would expect to get in San Francisco so we feel so lucky to have them available Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Adorable Bakery here in Scotts Valley. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to Chef Lucas’ delicious dinners!!
Brand new bakery in Scotts valley. Took over the old Mallone's bar restaurant building, with lots of renovation. Gorgeous food. I had a Pan au Raisin, a morning bun and a baguette all to go... Staff was friendly. Lots of selection. Very spacious footprint... Offering drip coffee Great as well as espresso drinks... I will try the drip coffee next time Great to see a new business in Scotts valley. Nespresso/cappuccino was delicious train staff and a perfectly pulled shot. Only critique I can make is $8 for a croissant. Seems a little pricey!
The croissants are so good! They have sun-dried tomato, jalapeño cheese, chocolate, and almond croissants. They are so delicious! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Also we saw a French bulldog as we walked in, really added to the atmosphere.
If you're looking for an affordable trip to a Parisian boulangerie, this is the place to go. Not only do they offer top tier sweet and savory pastries, casserole style appetizers are also available to calm the hungry soul. There is also a dinner menu for those that want to come back for more. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend this little oasis to anyone with an appreciation for pastries and French fare.
If I could give them 10 stars I would because the whole experience was a 10 out of 10. We were moving our son out of his dorm at UCSC for the summer and we stayed in Scotts Valley for the night. We had dinner and wanted to find a little something fresh for dessert. We saw the Adorable French Bakery right down the road from our hotel. The staff was exceptional even though they were closing soon and they still had plenty of yummy looking options for our sweet tooth. We got some Pistachio Choux muffin thingy and it changed my life. I tasted that in my soul. But honestly the best thing was the staff, we were not regulars, we had never been there before and we were treated with unreasonable hospitality. Go to this bakery. Seriously. I can't wait to come back.
Everything item here is wonderful from a cup of coffee or mimosa to their awesome pastries, freshly baked breads, desserts and I personally love the broccoli quiche!! You can't go wrong. The outdoor seating is peaceful and you can bring your canine companions too. I come here often and they're always happy to help with suggestions and a big smile letting you know you picked the right place to dine in or take home. 😊

I don’t say this lightly: it absolutely rivals Gayle’s Bakery—and in some ways, surpasses it. Yes, it’s pricey. And yes, that’s the point. When you’re dealing with this level of technical skill, care, and top-tier ingredients, it costs more. If you’re looking for cheap pastries, Santa Cruz County is full of options. If you want pastries made with deep knowledge and intention, this is where you go. I drive 25 minutes just to come here—and I’d drive farther. If you’re visiting the Bay Area, put this on your list. Make it a stop as you meander through the Santa Cruz Mountains on your way to Capitola or one of our beach towns. They also serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner on select nights (check their website). There’s a lovely bar, and on Sundays they host a patio pop-up called Girasol Pizza, run by a family from Chicago—worth planning around. We went a little overboard (see photos). Took most of it to go—and I somehow forgot to photograph the lasagna, which was gorgeous. Tons of savory options too. Coffee, lattes, mochas—all solid. This place is a hidden gem. Perfect for a sit-down meal, drinks and appetizers with friends, or takeout if you have more self-control than we did. It’s not just a bakery—it’s a culinary experience.
